Due to the opening of Mucus Pro equipment production in the EU (Czech Republic) and the increase in production costs, the price of Mucus Pro equipment is expected to increase by 40% already in 2025.
Mucus Pro and Mucus Filter equipment will not be supplied to the countries of the European Union in 2025 due to the expiration of the Certificate of Conformity with the essential requirements of the EU Directives and Harmonized Standards of the Union. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Operating instructions
- Assemble the support structure by connecting the three parts of the support tripod (A+B+C) together and securing them with bolts.
- Attach the hanging flasks (1 and 2) to the vertical support post, flask 3 to the horizontal support post, securely fastening them to the brackets with bolted connections.
- Connect flasks 1, 2 and 3 to each other using pipelines in the “Filtration” mode, as shown in the diagram.
- Fill the vacuum pump with vacuum motor oil.
- Install the moisture trap (4) and connect it to the flask with the finished product (3) and the vacuum pump.
- Install a replaceable filter cartridge of the required size into the filter holder flask (2).
- Make sure that the necessary taps (2.2, 2.4,) are open for the device to operate in the “Filtration” mode.
- To check the tightness of the device, turn on the vacuum pump and close valve 2.2, if a vacuum is created in the system, then when opening valve 2.2 you will hear the sound of air intake.
- Your vacuum filtration station is ready to work!
- Pour the liquid to be filtered into the raw material flask (1)
- Turn on the vacuum pump.
- If you need UV radiation, turn on the UV lamp. Be careful with UV radiation, it is not safe!
- The filtration process is still in progress, the filtered product will flow into the lower flask for finished products (3).
- Make sure that the level of the filtered liquid in the lower flask (3) does not exceed 1/3 of the volume (there is a level on the window glass).
- Make sure that the filtered liquid does not enter the moisture trap (4). If liquid enters the moisture trap (4), stop the filtration process by turning off the vacuum pump and drain the liquid from the moisture trap.
- To drain the finished product, use tap 3.1
Not every snail slime is subject to filtration, much less microfiltration. Any filtration removes (filters out) useful elements from the product, for example, the Bulova company does not recommend filtering snail slime for the production of lyophilized snail slime.
Microfiltration (0.2 µm size) is a conditionally sterile filtration. The membrane type filter cartridge cell, 0.2 microns in size, retains bacteria and microorganisms. But this is not always advisable for live products, such as snail mucus, when it is necessary to preserve the beneficial bactericidal microflora.
Replacement filter cartridges.
Filtration is a gradual and multi-stage process: from a larger filter cell size to a smaller one.
The multi-stage nature and size of the filter cartridge used depend on the density and specific gravity of the filtered product, the quantity and size of suspended particles in it, which are subject to filtration. Replacement filter cartridges can be of two types: for deep and surface filtration. Pleated glass fiber deep filtration filters and pleated polypropylene deep filtration filters are used for filtration of biological fluids and surface filtration membrane filters are thinner and are used for sterile filtration in medicine, They are also suitable for microfiltration of snail mucus.
Replacement filter cartridges are best selected empirically to filter your product.
Our company cannot select a filter cartridge type for you. Depth filters: fiberglass or polypropylene or surface filtration membrane?
For example, to filter snail mucus, you can use filter cartridges from 10 µm to 0.2 µm (10, 5, 1, 0.5, 0.2 µm). Gradually re-filtering the product from larger to smaller sizes. By default, corrugated polypropylene replacement cartridges for deep filtration are offered, they are the most universal. Thinner filter cartridges should be ordered separately or purchased independently.
